About the company:
Microimaginings is a new company
specializing in digital photomicroscopy of insects and other subjects
that are best viewed through a stereoscope. Ideal subjects are about
5-20mm in length, although it is possible to obtain excellent images
of many subjects outside of this range. The images are taken using
a digital camera through a stereoscope and then processed using
specialized software that allows everything to be in focus in the
final image, unlike most photographs of subjects of this size.

Images available soon:
Stock images suitable for advertising, books, magazines, web pages
or personal use will be available at this web address in the near
future. Prices for licensing will vary depending on the intended
use. (For instance, using an image for a personal web page or PhD
dissertation would cost considerably less than using it for advertising
purposes or including it in a popular textbook.) Quality prints,
suitable for framing, will also be available. If you have suggestions
for particular insect species or other subjects that you’d
like to see images of, please send them to:

Custom work:
Microimaginings would be pleased to create custom images for your
specific needs. Examples include images for advertising, identification
manuals/keys, books, magazines and artwork. Prices will be determined
by a combination of factors, including intended use (see above)
and how difficult and time-consuming the images would be to produce.
